During the Early Years (Nursery and Reception), the emphasis is on Literacy and Numeracy to prepare children to read and write well with beginning of a foundation in Mathematics. At this foundation stage, we cover learning in 3 prime areas such as Communication and Language; Physical Development; and Personal, Social and Emotional Development to ignite children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We use the thematic approach to cover these areas as well as in Creative Development, and Knowledge of the World. Our Early Years programme is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework for England, which is also enhanced with language training in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. These languages are introduced to students in a fun and interesting way; through singing, story telling and role-play. Agama lessons are also conducted weekly for the Muslim students. Also in this section International Curriculum In an increasingly globalised society, the relevant training and exposure in an international curriculum will give students an edge and prepare them for future success. Secondary School Secondary School covers Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 3 marks the beginning of Secondary education with Years 7 to 9. Primary School Primary School covers Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6).
