Calling old phones!

Our secondary Future Learning Department are seeking old android phones in working order. See the posters around school and Google Classroom for further details.
Sounds like fun!

Parents of our Early Years children were invited to drop into school and join a phonics lesson. After the ‘Wake Up, Shake Up’ session to start the day, the students began their routine of setting up the visible timetable, and sharing thoughts and information during Circle Time.  In the Jolly Phonics lesson, working in small groups, independently or with the assistance or guidance of the teacher or teaching assistant, the children are exposed to a wide variety of games, songs and activities which enable them to consolidate and develop their phonics knowledge, skills and understanding.

Stop! It’s Science Time!

Reception students loved testing the air resistance of their parachutes in the playground! In the Science Carnival which engaged the whole school, Early Years and Primary students explored scientific topics and theories, ranging from magnetic force, air pressure, and light and shadow to microbes and chemical reactions. Year 4 students had the messiest experiments creating lava lamps and making dough! They were delighted to get their hands stuck into the flour, yeast and water and watch the effects of the yeast. See the gallery for more Science Time photos.
