Let’s Celebrate!

We reached the end of a wonderful year in TISKL Early Years and Primary school by celebrating students’ academic, sporting, performing arts and character building achievements in a Day of Celebration.  Over 70 students received a certificate of participation for their performance in TISKL’s Got Talent 2017! A further 70 students in Key Stage 2 received certificates or vouchers for their success in the year. Photographed with Mr Wells and me, is Laura Mangelmann, who achieved a reward for Outstanding Academic Excellence. Laura also appeared in TISKL’s Got Talent, along with her twin, Julian and younger sister, Sara.

The audience was entertained by the CCA Choir who sang two songs beautifully in harmony, and the CCA band who played Do-re-mi. The whole ceremony was MC’d admirably by Corinne Tan and Animesh Singh.

Rite of Passage

Our Year 6 students enjoyed the annual residential trip to mark the end of their time in primary school. To celebrate the end of year, teachers and students went on a 3D2N trip to Perak. They visited Kellie’s Castle in Batu Gajah, The Sultan Azlan Shah Museum in Kuala Kangsar, Movie Animation Park Studios in Bandar Meru, Gunung Lang and Gua Tempurung. Students had the opportunity to learn about a famous Sultan in Perak and explore a 400 million year old cave with natural rock formations. See some of the exciting locations here.

Congratulations to Ms Jess!

On achieving her Masters Degree in Education. Here she is pictured at her convocation day in Penang, having successfully completed her studies at Wawasan Open University.

Finally, for those celebrating Christmas, have a blessed time. To families leaving TISKL the best of luck in the future. To all other families, I wish you a safe and happy holiday season. See you all on January 8th!

Kind regards,
