It is difficult to believe that we are approaching the end of the academic year so rapidly. With only two weeks to go before the school breaks for the winter holiday, there is still a great deal to complete and enjoy before we wish our pupils a happy holiday and, for Year 11, wish them well in their next chapters. The current IGCSE examination session is still going but will be completed very shortly, leaving our Year 11 students with one final official duty before leaving us; their graduation ceremony. This is a formal event, held this year on 17 Nov 17 in our auditorium that allows us to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of our most senior year group.

Whilst our Year 11 and some Year 10 students complete exams, others are enjoying a variety of trips and excursions that include day visits as well as residential camps. These opportunities for new experiences off campus are not only very enjoyable for the pupils and staff but are also valuable learning experiences that give context to the classroom based learning taking place at school. More feedback will follow regarding some of these trips next week.

Despite the closeness of the year end, our sports teams are still in full force and demonstrating strong teamwork and commitment across the range of sports as part of our membership of KLISS and in support of MSSD. Football and netball have dominated with more information in the Director of Sport’s that follows.

The winter break allows us to take time to renovate and improve our already excellent facilities and this will be an important part of the forthcoming recess with important maintenance and upgrading work being undertaken to ensure that we are ready on all fronts for the new year start in January.

This weekend, we are proud to welcome the local Rotary Club to our campus as they will be holding a fun day for the local community as part of their excellent work for the residents of the Puchong area. We are very proud of our association with this long standing and important organization and look forward to further, closer ties in the coming year.

In the meantime, I wish you a restful weekend and a positive week ahead.

Kind regards
