I am delighted to welcome you all back from what I hope has been a restful and enjoyable holiday. The term has started smoothly and positively with 165 new students and 11 new staffs joining us across the age range from Malaysia and beyond. The year ahead holds many opportunities and positive challenges for individual students as well as for us collectively as a school community. This 17th January sees the release of our first set of IGCSE examination results for last year’s Year 11 students. I look forward to sharing these with you following their release and wish this year’s Year 11 students a positive and focussed year as they prepare for their examinations.

The Primary School has launched the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for Year 3 and Year 4 which is a significant step forward for enhanced academic quality in the Primary school experience for our students. The IPC will be expanded to include other year groups as the year moves along enabling our students to engage with this enhanced curriculum. In addition to the IPC, the school is engaging with Quantum Learning to assist with teacher training and development. This USA based organisation operates schools across the United States as well as offering international training that enables teachers to further develop their pedagogical abilities. We all look forward to further strengthening our ties with this organisation and to benefiting from their expertise.

In addition to our learning improvements, we have also engaged new cleaners and a new catering company. Please do feed back to us in respect of these, or any other aspects of our operations as we need to hear of your experiences.

Finally, I would like to wish you a positive year ahead. My colleagues and I look forward to working with you and your children in what promises to be an excellent year for Taylor’s International School, Puchong.

Kind regards
David Flint 斐迪偉
Principal of Taylor’s International School Puchong
