This week being the Secondary school examination week has meant that the focus for the teaching staff has been completely on ensuring that the assessment and examination procedure ran smoothly across the Secondary school and for the students to prove to themselves and others on their capability to retain and communicate the knowledge they have gained. For Year 10 there were exams all week, while Years 7 to 9 had an intensive 3 days of exams. There were some students who missed the examinations for various reasons and where possible we are able to reschedule some. However it may not be possible for some grades to be entered into the reports for very late resits. There are a few more exams for Year 10 next week and some KS3 students maybe sitting with Year 10 if they have a resit to ensure examination invigilation is organised effectively.

This Thursday also saw the Year 11 IGCSE ICT students kickstart this October/November Cambridge IGCSE series. They had their first practical exam and it was great to see how well they responded to the process.

Being such an intense week, I was so pleased with the response to the examination process made by our students and I am sure that many students and parents will be very proud of their achievements.

A final reminder to Year 11 parents, please inform us directly if your son/daughter is intending to take study during the IGCSE examination series as we are providing support where required and taking registers for all students who are attending the revision supervision and workshops.

I would like to congratulate Oswin Wong (8G) who participated in a recent swimming gala, the 2nd Leg of ASUM /NSC /MILO Junior Splash Swim 2017 from 22 Sept to 24 Sept 2017 at Pusat Akuatik Hang Jebat, Melaka. He took part in the 12 & 13 years age group category and managed to get 2 golds and 1 silver in the relay event. Amazing, Well done Oswin.
