This was yet another busy week for our school sports teams. On Monday we hosted Nexus International School, Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur and KTJ International School as we hosted our first ever Basketball under 13 girls KLISS tournament. We were very proud that it all went smoothly and our girls competed competently under Ms. Hidayah’s guidance finishing in 3rd place and qualifying for the plate finals in a couple of weeks time.

On Tuesday we were invited to our first ever Alice Smith International School Athletics competition competing alongside established organisations such as Garden International School, ISKL and our sister school Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur. It was a fantastic event and we competed so well, giving a good account of ourselves under Ms. Haliza.

Tuesday was a busy day for our sports teams, with our Football boys under 11’s taking on Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur and HELP International Schools A and B teams. We went out and won all 3 matches! That means we have won 6 matches in a row in KLISS and KL Sports League this year, an amazing achievement from Mr. Firdaus and his boys. They have their final KL Sports league fixture on Tuesday and if they win then they will be crowned as the KL Sports League champions for a second year in a row, so please feel free to come along at 3pm to cheer our boys onto glory!!

Also on Tuesday we had our Netball under 16 girls A team who took on Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur. With half of our team at Alice Smith International School it was difficult for them to properly compete but they fought bravely and succumbed to a 24-9 loss. They are improving all the time and have plenty of fixtures coming up, we’re very excited for this team going forwards. Wednesday saw our Basketball boys and girls under 15 teams host St Joseph’s International School in the KL Sports League. Our girls team, led by Ms. Farah, continued their amazing run of wins and came out victorious, winning convincingly 29-4. Our boys also came out on top winning 22-11 in a match where Mr. Shane’s boys were dominant.

As well as Basketball on Wednesday our Swimming under 12, under 13 and under 14 teams travelled to Epsom College for a tournament. We were very successful winning a number of races and Mr. Jason’s team gained good exposure of what a competition format is like to swim in. This will hold them in good stead going forwards.
