Special Guest; Mohd Najib Turano and Nur Marissa Alia
Taylor’s International School Puchong (TISPC) recently held its inaugural Sports Premier Award on the 27th of October 2017 organised by the school’s PE department. Aim at celebrating the achievement of the students in various sports competition, the event was attended by over 400 guests of both students and parents dress in their finest.

TISPC also had the honour of inviting special guest speaker Mr. Mohd Najib Turano, 4 times gold medalist in the recent Para SEA Games and Ms. Nur Marissa Alia gold medalist for the SEA Games to present the award and give a short speech. During the speech Mr. Naijb advise the students to always place their 100% discipline and focus during practice for any type of sports.  For Ms. Marissa, she advised students not to forget about their studies and pursue a balance lifestyle. 

The evening began at 7pm with welcome speech from TISPC’s student representatives as well as Mr. David Flint, principal of TISPC. It was then followed with award giving for students who have participated in this year’s Majlis Sukan Sekolah Daerah (MSSD).  This was followed by students who have participated in different sports team and categories. A total of 200 students from 15 different sports categories were honoured during the night.

The Outstanding Sports Team Performer of the Year Award goes to Teddy Oh (Benchball) and Kylie Kong (Benchball) for the Primary School category while for the Secondary school category the award went to Moustafa Sherif Moustafa Mobasher (Basketball, Volleyball, Football and Athletics) and Ashley Ting (Swimming).  As for the Director of Sports Award, Muhammad Haziq won for the Primary School Category while Lim Wei Qing won for the Secondary School Category.

This year has been an amazing year for sports as Taylor’s International School Puchong has not only become a member of Kuala Lumpur International School Sports (KLISS) within 2 years of the school’s establishment but has made many achievements in sports competition both internally and externally.
