Overview

Taylor’s
International
Early Years
Programme

Our Early Years Programme at Taylor’s International School campuses located in central Kuala Lumpur and Puchong, offer more than just school readiness, they build the foundation for lifelong learning, confidence and well-being. We believe that the early years are a critical stage in a child’s development, where curiosity is sparked, identities are formed and the joy of discovery begins.

Our approach is guided by the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), a globally recognised, research-based framework designed specifically for children aged 3 to 5. This brain-friendly curriculum supports not only academic learning but also the development of essential life skills such as independence, emotional intelligence, collaboration and communication.

Teaching & Learning

Early Years Curriculum

Learning in Early Years at Taylor’s is led by a team of fully qualified, experienced and passionate teachers who understand how young children learn best, through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. Every child is nurtured as an individual with learning tailored to their interests, needs and pace of development. This child-led, inquiry-based approach encourages children to ask questions, make connections and become confident, active learners.

Nursery & Reception

Aged 3 - 5

Our Early Years environment features an inspiring blend of indoor and outdoor learning spaces, carefully designed to stimulate imagination, creativity and physical development. A balance of planned and spontaneous activities allows children to explore the world around them in meaningful ways, whether they’re experimenting with water play, building structures, role-playing or discovering nature in our outdoor areas.

We are proud to offer a warm, inclusive and vibrant early childhood setting where every child is empowered to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Start your child’s learning journey at Taylor’s International School and experience the difference a world-class early years education can make.

Thematic Learning

Each play-based IEYC unit is built around a meaningful theme, weaving together key skills in numeracy, language, creativity, movement and digital literacy for deep, connected learning.

Trilingual Advantage

Our young learners explore English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia through playful, immersive activities that spark early language development and fluency. Whether through songs, stories, role-play or guided conversations, children build confidence in communicating across multiple languages in a natural and engaging way.

Literacy & Numeracy

Through purposeful play activities, children develop early reading, writing and number skills. Storytime, songs, counting games and hands-on exploration lay the groundwork for confident communication and mathematical thinking, setting the stage for lifelong learning success.

Partnering With Parents

Parents stay connected through the Seesaw app, receiving real-time updates on their child’s learning journey. Families are also encouraged to extend learning at home by exploring class themes together and participating in IEYC exit point activities, which are special in-school events that celebrate the end of each learning topic.
