Dear Parents/Guardians,

As you will be aware from the newspapers, the maintenance work on the SSP3 water treatment plant is taking longer and is now scheduled to finish early evening on Thursday 8th, with water getting to our part of the city by Sunday 11th.

The school’s water tanks should now be able to keep the school operating for HALF a day, and so we will be open on Friday 9th March.

Please be aware of the following:
-The cafeteria operator will be able to provide Food /Service for the breaks as normal, but bringing drinking water would be a good idea.
-We do risk some toilets and sinks running dry towards lunchtime in some areas. I apologise in advance if this does happen.
-Once we have used up all our tank water, there is no more water until the supply is resumed.

We hope to be open on Monday 12th March, however, this is entirely dependent upon the water supply being resumed to the campus. I would like to remind everyone that with over 2000 people on the school site, we do need water for toilets and sinks, otherwise we have a potentially unhealthy and unhygienic situation which would put students and staff at risk.

We will send a message out on Sunday evening to clarify the situation. Please monitor  Facebook and the website.

A reminder to Secondary students representing the school at the KLISS athletics on Friday, this meet is still on, and students should be in school at 6.50am.

The Primary athletics training after school on Friday will also go ahead.
