Masters of Education

I am delighted and proud to announce that Ms Vimala Thevi recently graduated in Masters of Education (TESL) from Wawasan University, achieving Distinction for her Educational Research Project. Ms Vimala thanked colleagues and Mr Peter Wells for supporting her in TISKL to complete her studies.

Successful students

21 students from Year 5 and 6 passed with full marks in the 2018 YCT and HSK examinations. Both exams are administered from Beijing, with the Youth Chinese Test being most suited to school children. The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (Chinese Proficiency Test) being the standard test used in mainland China, and for non-native speakers and Chinese living overseas.
In total, 99 students sat for the examinations in November and passed. The average score for the HSK was 93%, whilst the average score for YCT was 92%.

Congratulations to all students who passed these language exams. Pictured are the full marks achievers who were presented with their certificates during assembly.
