The Secondary football season started on Monday 10th August as the U15 boys and girls travelled for a friendly fixture @ AISM. This was a chance for Ms.Azlinda and Mr.Ratcliffe to try a few things out before the KLISS fixtures start in September.

The Taylor’s girls found the Australian girls hard to handle due to this being the first ever football fixture for many of the Thunder girls. A great finish by Shreya Dristi was mere consolation in an 8-1 defeat.

On the next pitch, the boys struggled to find any cohesion in the first 10 minutes due to this being their first game together. An early goal to AISM was cancelled out just before half time by Ryan Lee.

The second half was a lot better and team Thunder took the lead thanks to Zaim putting the defence under great pressure after a through ball by captain Rui Xian. Poor defending allowed AISM to equalise before Ilhan took on 4 players and side footed it past the goalkeeper to make it 3-2 with only 2 minutes left. The call by Mr.Ratcliffe to defend deep was ignored as more sloppy defending allowed another equalizer within 20 seconds of the restart and the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
