A group of TIS Puchong's Secondary School students had the opportunity to visit the UK for a Creative Study Tour during the April term break. This is a diary of their learning experiences during the trip.
Day 7
This morning we arrived early at the London Symphony Orchestra St Luke's and were met by Gareth and Tim who were going to assist with the workshop for the day.

The students were taught how use Logic Pro X music software which allowed them to create their own tracks using loops and midi inputs. The students spent the whole day working on their pieces.

At the end of the day, we listened to everyone’s pieces and found that there was an interesting mix of sounds and loops which were very creative. The London Symphony Orchestra staff were even suitably impressed!

Our day ended with a delicious BBQ grill platter and a trip back to the house. After packing up some clothes and relaxing a bit, students enjoyed a movie and also played some games in the games room.

Tomorrow we head to the centre of London again - visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace and having tea and scones.

Day 8 (Final Day)
This morning the house was a hub of activity with students packing like crazy to get things into bags and make sure nothing was left behind.

Our bags made their way to the airport while we ventured into the city for the last time. We made our way to Buckingham Palace where the students took lots of photos and saw the Changing of the Guard.

After all that regal pomp and ceremony, we made our way to enjoy delicious tea and scones to end off the amazing eight days we spent in this vibrant and multicultural city.
