The term closes in and I should not be surprised how quickly time goes but I always am. It has been a wonderful first term and just yesterday I commented to Mr. Mike how much happens at TIS Puchong – it is sometimes hard to keep up.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the last week or so have been the incredible performances of Peter Pan. I had the privilege of seeing the performance on Friday night and I described it as simply ‘sensational’. I could not believe I was watching a school production. I want to take this opportunity again to thank anyone and everyone involved in this production over the last three months. Your dedication, your energy, and your hard work are to be congratulated. Thank you also to you the parents for supporting us, and thank you to the performers and of course Mr. Ian and Miss Rebecca. It was in short, a wonderful show and everyone has been commenting on this fact and has been a topic of discussion. I am looking forward to the next show biz extravaganza.

Yesterday I went to see the Year 2 and Year 3 exit point. My word, what a buzz there was! The students eagerly teaching all the mums and dads and anyone else in their orbit. In the case of Year 2’s, anything to do with healthy eating and the five food groups and in the case of Year 3’s, anything to do with chocolate, from the geography of it to the making of it.  I had a little Year 3 girl telling me the nutritional differences between white and dark chocolate and she told me that from now on she will always eat dark chocolate. I loved the energy and the interest present. It is a testament to the hard work of the teachers who are implementing the IPC with its emphasis on enquiry learning and making minds sharp. I also loved that it had a real community feel with some many parents present. Lovely to see.

I will round off this newsletter by saying how grateful I am for your support and also for your willingness to share with me and talk to me about your vision for the school. I have learned a lot over the last three months and look forward to continuing to build a close relationship. I wish all my students and teachers a safe and happy holiday. Recharge your batteries ready for an exciting Term 2.

Thank you

Kind regards
