Dear parents,
Welcome again.  It has been another busy week.
On Monday we had class photos and on Tuesday we had sports team photos. This is a large logistical exercise which went as smoothly as could be hoped for. The students were smiling and neat in their attire in the moments when I looked into the staff lounge. We have also had swimming exhibitions for Year 4 on Wednesday and Thursday and by all accounts this was a very enjoyable event for all involved. In addition we had a Year 5 river excursion – River of Life - on Tuesday and Wednesday where some 50 students had a lovely learning experience on two beautiful days. I have heard very positive comments from students, parents and staff about the excursion. I would like to thank the parents who supported us and to point out that the reason we have such excursions is to offer as much access as possible to our beautiful environment to make education come alive, which is after all one of the central tenets of the IPC.
The Year 11s in Secondary are getting ready to sit their mock exams and to encourage and support them we had two exam skills workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday. There was a Japanese culture and language workshop on Thursday and today there is the Voice of Taylors which I am very much looking forward to attending.
On the sporting front there was a lot of cheering on Wednesday as the houses watched the football tournament and this week again we have won three more volleyball cups, boys Under 13 A team, one in the girls Under 15 B Team, and the other in the girls Under 15 A team and the other in. Worth mentioning that last week against Under 18’s this team came second.
All of the above just shows you how much goes on in the school and that we want to give our students as much opportunity as possible for growth and development in all areas.

Kind regards
