Despite this being a shorter than normal week, our students have been busy working hard and successfully competing in the KLISS volleyball championships. Ahead of us this month are IGCSE examinations for our Year 11 students and, importantly for Malaysia, the election on 9 May.  In the Primary School, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is moving ahead positively with Y1-4 now fully ensconced in the programme. Year 5 joins the IPC in August with plans afoot for Nursery and Reception to also embrace this programme from January 2019.

In addition to this positive development for our primary school, our work with Quantum Learning continues and expands across the school with our lead teachers working with other colleagues to further raise the quality of lessons and improve the learning experience at TIS Puchong.

For the secondary school, this term sees us embarking upon a pastoral support review geared towards putting in place a rewards framework that will enhance and transform the house system enabling greater team spirit, responsibility and recognition for the students.  Furthermore, planning is underway to create and develop a greater mentoring and coaching culture for our students. More information will be provided next term after an extensive planning phase this term.

In the meantime, I would like to wish you a restful weekend and a positive week ahead.
Kind regards,
David Flint 斐迪偉
Principal of Taylor’s International School Puchong
