It has been a fantastic week and a great way to end the academic year for 2017. Our secondary awards assembly highlighted further how much talent we have throughout the school in so many areas. Our Year 11 students went for their last planned activity with their residential trip and again all had a great time with fantastic opportunities to extend the leadership skills further.

I have to say thank you to all our staff at TISPC for what we have achieved on our learning journey together. We are proud of all the achievements and goals attained by our Secondary students, particularly our Year 11 cohort, who being the first Year 11’s sitting their IGCSEs have set such a great examples for others to follow.

I specifically would like to thank Ms. Angeline, Mr. Rushen, Mrs. Byrne, Ms. Vallence and Mr. Yong. It has been great to have you with us on our TISPC journey and wish you all the best on the next step of your journey. I am sure we will be hearing great things about your exploits in the near future.

The school is always growing and the beginning of 2018 will bring more changes from this growth, the Secondary school specifically will be expanding from 26 classes to 31 classes next year. This obviously means new students and new teachers. Our Year 11 cohort next year is double the size of this years cohort with over 140+ Year 11 students and obviously this will be another busy year for them as they start the busy countdown for their IGCSEs.

We have new information to share with parents and structures and systems we are bringing into the Secondary section and parents will find regular opportunities to drop into school as there are specific parent informations sessions already planned in the calendar and dates and times will be shared with you in the new year.

I know 2018 will bring exciting challenges and I also know that each year we have set landmarks in achievement and learning standards. I am looking forward to 2018 with the belief that it holds many more opportunities for our students and the potential attainment and goals that are achieved by them throughout the year.
