It is fantastic to be back, ready and raring to go for this 2019 year. As part of Kuala Lumpur International School Sport (KLISS), KL Sports League and MSSD, we are one of the most active sports schools in the region. This week we have been conducting trials, and the early signs are that this year will see our participation rates in sport smash last year’s record by some distance!

This year our aim is to give as many students as possible the opportunity to compete in school sports teams, whether this be A teams, B teams, or even C teams. Competing for the school in sports teams is an honour and can create memories that can last a lifetime. I have been busy at league meetings this week to ensure everything is organised and ready to go for our 2019 sporting calendar. As you will know, last year we won a record number of medals and championships and this year we will aim to beat this record once again, whilst keeping our sportsmanship and enjoyment of sport as a competition at its highest.

During the final weekend of November we took 3 teams to Phuket 7’s football tournament, our first ever sporting international competition. The trip was a huge success, the students and staff alike loved the experience and we are definitely planning to go back this year. As well as this we are hoping to take a team to Singapore for the annual South East Asia Netball tournament in March for our under 16 team. Details on this to follow shortly.

Please follow our exclusive instagram account tispc.sport (solely managed by myself) for more information, photographs and videos from our fixtures. All information for primary trials/fixtures will be uploaded onto REMIND so if your child is successful in their trials please ensure you are in the respected groups. For secondary teams, there will be Google classrooms set up for each team by their respected coach and the responsibility will be on the player to ensure they keep up to date with any announcements made in regards to information surrounding fixtures and trainings.

My staff and I are extremely excited for this year with Mr Stefano at the helm and we expect to continue our amazing development throughout the course of this year!
