17 May - Sports
During the weekend, our Badminton under 13 and under 15 teams travelled to IGB International School and ran out as KLISS champions to give us yet another couple of trophies in this incredible season we are having.

On Saturday our Badminton secondary teams took part in their annual KLISS tournament at the home of IGB International School. Mr Jason and Mr Zul coached at the event which saw our elite Badminton under 13 and under 15 players perform. Our teams played excellently, winning numerous gold medals on their way to accruing enough points to enable us to be crowned champions! These teams have trained so hard with Mr Jason for the opportunity to win this tournament so all credit must go to them and their coach. This is yet another couple of trophies that we have won in a season which has created so many memories already, and we’re only half way through the year! We’re going to need a bigger trophy cabinet at this rate! Next Friday 24th May is the turn of our under 9 and under 11 teams.

On Wednesday our Volleyball girls under 13, under 15 and under 18 teams hosted IGB International School for a couple of preparation matches in readiness for their KLISS tournaments coming up at the end of May and start of June. In some pretty poor conditions, our under 13’s and under 15’s played some good Volleyball, continuing their great runs of form to win both their matches. Our under 18’s got into a steady rhythm and were just too good for a decent IGB team. So far this season none of our 3 Volleyball girls teams have lost a match, remaining undefeated and giving us great confidence of further glory going into their KLISS tournament (our under 18’s have already won theirs of course!). There will also be the KL Sports League tournaments which they will be battling for as well throughout June.

Trials for under 13, 15 and 18 Football teams will begin the last week of May (2 weeks time) so if any students have not signed up for these, please do so at the PE Office. We are excited to form these new teams and want to create as many teams as possible to compete. As well as this we will be hosting sports days at the new dates of:

Wednesday 12th June - Key Stage 1
Thursday 13th June - Key Stage 2
Friday 14th June - all of Secondary.
