27 JUNE 2019 - MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SECONDARY
The Performing Arts team have been busy entertaining shoppers in KL with their amazing dances & rendition of Raya songs accompanied by a mixture of traditional & modern instruments.
Enhancing Teaching & Learning in the Secondary Section: The Vision
The Secondary Section's strategic development plan for 2019-2020 seeks to enhance learning for our students. To do this, we must first redefine what a 'school' is, what a 'teacher' is, and what a 'student' is!

Have you seen the display in the ground floor foyer of the Teaching Block? This sets out the details of how we aspire to improve and enhance teaching and learning over the coming weeks, months and years.

To get you thinking about why we need to evolve and change at all, take a look at this video clip from Sir John Jones, an eminent UK educationalist. Enhancing Teaching & Learning in the Secondary Section: The Vision.

If you are inspired by the ideas in the display or the video clip, please feel welcome to come to the Secondary Office for a chat about them with me or Mr. Sharma.

Student Council Installation 2019
On 27th May, we were honoured to announce the installation of the Student Council members of 2019! The MC for this event was Sana Javed from 11A our fellow student council member. The installation started off with a video made by Nicole Nga from 11O introducing Student Council and the with the aims and achievements it made over the past years. Subsequently, the members of Student Council from year by year were called out to get the stellar opportunity of receiving the badge from our Head of Secondary, Mr Sharma. Overall, there are 30 students who are members of the Student Council and we strive to achieve the best to be the voice of the students in Taylor's International School KL!
Charity Fair
The Student Council organised fundraising events on the 13th and 14th June with the aim of raising funds for the upcoming Charity Food and Games Carnival of which all proceeds will go to charity.

An approximate of RM3000 was raised from the Charity Sale and Mufti Day to fund our upcoming Charity Food and Games Carnival that will tentatively be held on the 28th September 2019. Organising this event had not only instill confidence and pride in our Student Councillors and our students in general but had also empowered them to lead and work as a team despite their personal challenges.
