Dear parents,

Another week with the MCO and I hope you are all well and safe. Since I last wrote to you it has been all online learning although we have been fortunate that the Government has allowed Year 11 exams to take place on the premises. The teachers are working very hard to teach our children as best as they can working from home.

As a reminder and a favour, I would ask you to log in periodically into your Engage portal as there are messages there and sometimes these are not read. One such message has been the recent annual survey sent out to you and I would be very appreciative if as many of you as possible could fill it in. It only takes around 20 minutes but the information that you give us is very useful as it helps us to continue improving any weak areas. The survey questions are in scale but there is also plenty of opportunity for comments and I would ask you to please write down your comments - anything you think is apt. The survey is confidential and anonymous, and your feedback is valuable.

I would also like to give you some information about the current status of visas for those of you who may need to leave the country for whatever reason. This is something that has come to us recently from the Ministry of Immigration and is useful information.

Here are the pointers for re-entry for current students/guardians when they leave and wish to return to Malaysia.

1) New SOPs from MOE require the School to apply for re-entry approval from Immigration via MyTravel Pass

2) Student/Guardian must have min 6 months validity visa/passport for re-entry.

3) Valid MOE letter which will be uploaded in the system when application is made.

4) No definite timeline for approval to be granted.

5) Immigration may deny entry at their discretion and it is beyond the School's control or appeal.
