She had the experience of working with patients with mental health issues in the Department of Psychological Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) during internship.
Dharshanna believes in the concept that changing one's thoughts can change their world. She holds to the CBT concept in counselling whereby our thoughts, feelings and behaviour are interconnected. Therefore, restructuring our thoughts can influence how we respond to situations in life. Feeding our mind with positive thoughts will help us to face adversities in life better. She also uses Art Therapy to help students to explore their emotions, develop healthy coping skills and self-discovery. She believes that art is a beautiful way to express your unresolved emotions.
