Student Council used the RECIPE focus “Responsible Leaders” & “Global Citizen” to start up a project based on the first and second SDG goals “No Poverty & Zero Hunger“. Together with the teacher advisors, they organised a Food Drive to ask for donation of dry food from the primary school students over a period of 2 weeks in Term 2. They also segregated the food into 3 groups for the organisations that they’re donating to. The three organisations are Make Over Society (PKIHS), Salvation Kids Association and Pusat Komuniti Kasih Selangor.
We are very grateful for all the food donations received over the 2 weeks. Student councils were responsible leaders as they took time to carry and organise the items during their break time. They also stayed back to move the food from storage to the pick-up point.
