Being prepared does bring about confidence.

    Exams

Our Year 11 students have now reached the time of school where all their learning over the years, particularly the last 2 years come together for their exams. Students and teachers have dedicated their time, efforts and energy in delivering content, skills and knowledge in preparation for the IGCSE exams. If I can offer any advice, it is to keep going and working hard until the exams are over and more importantly to believe in yourself. Being prepared does bring about confidence. Best of luck to you all and stay safe.

Year 10 students have their end of year exams until October 14th. This will give them vital practice under exam conditions. Preparations are vital but if there is any doubt, check with teachers who are a valuable resource to guide you.

    Best Junior Sustainability Champion

I participated in a Corporate Sustainability programme launched globally by HSBC called "Train Green" aimed at educating children on preserving our planet. The 5 week programme included mandatory training on weekends, which every participant had to complete a project.

I am very proud to share that my project was selected among the best projects globally after evaluation by a panel of judges in HSBC. The certificate for the same is attached.

A brief about my project: my project was on "Aquaponics" which is to do with planting vegetables along with rearing fish, plants and fish being in a symbiotic relationship. This way plants grow faster, organically and more productively due to beneficial fish waste and uses up to 90% less water as well! It wasn't easy, there was a lot of research to be done, learning from mistakes but eventually it was a very rewarding experience.

Thanks to all my school and teachers for inculcating in me a problem solving, creative and analytical mindset which helped me get the prestigious award among the many participants. -Shreyan Chakraburtty 9O

    A hidden talent

I enjoy sketching in my free time because it is a form of relaxation for me. It is also my favourite pastime after I get back from school. Based on recent research, sketching is also a great way to improve creativity and problem-solving skills. It helps me look at things from a different perspective too. Sketching is also a great way of expressing myself. I feel more confident when I get to express myself in my sketches. For now, I enjoy sketching people I know in school. Maybe someday I will be able to sketch famous people in the world too. Here are some of my more recent sketches. -Jasmine Pang 10T
