Puchong, 30th January 2019 - Taylor's International School (TIS) awarded scholarships to three outstanding students to pursue their studies at its Kuala Lumpur and Puchong campuses. Mia Wong- Sia Yici was offered a place in Year 8 in the secondary school at TIS Kuala Lumpur, while Ong Zhi Xuan and Arianne Yijia Lim were offered places in Year 9 and Year 7 at TIS Puchong. The lucky three will get to experience an exceptional international education based on the highly valued National Curriculum for England leading to IGCSE qualifications.

"The scholarships will provide the young recipients an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of experiencing an international education," said Mr Peter Wells, Principal of Taylor's International School Kuala Lumpur. "The scholarships are a catalyst to a brighter future for the students as they will be assured of a holistic education that nurtures them to achieve their full potential. With the best teaching and learning practices conducted within an engaging and interactive environment, they will be equipped with the essential skills to take their productive places as leaders in the global community," he further commented.

According to Mr Stefano Piumatti, Principal of Taylor's International School Puchong, the scholarships are instrumental in helping these young talented students to achieve their educational goals and become valuable members of the school community. They will be the role models for the younger children and ambassadors for the school. "I look forward to seeing them grow to be an asset to the community," he continued.

The scholarship selection process was based on the candidates' excellent academic performance and active involvement in co-curricular activities. The recipients were also expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Mr Stefano Piumatti was very honoured and proud to have presented our worthy two scholars with the Scholarship Award for 2019. We had 40 applicants far and wise from other schools in the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor regions. Out of those applicants we are proud to announce that Arianne Yijia Lim (Year 7) and Ong Zhi Xuan (Year 9) were the successful recipients of the scholarship. We invited both their parents to our humble award ceremony and then a quick chat on how they are adapting to Taylor’s International School.
