Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to all parents and drivers, for the way that you have all adapted to the new traffic flow arrangements. Some parents have commented that this is better than the previous arrangement.

Here are some reminders that have already been emailed to everyone.

  • For drop-off, please move as far along the main entrance as possible. We now have four entry points, which can accommodate ten cars at a time. Moving forward means more people can drop off at the same time.
  • Please keep school bags in the vehicle and NOT in the boot. This makes exiting the car much quicker.
  • Please only use the passenger side for exiting.
  • Please also remember, as the construction work starts, this road will again reduce in size.

On Tuesday, 8th July, we held the Groundbreaking ceremony for the new development. We were honoured to have the presence of long term parent of Sri Garden and TISKL, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Haji Johari bin Abdul Ghani (Minister Of Plantation And Commodities), Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato Haji Alimuddin bin Haji Mohd Dom (Chairman, Board of Governors of Taylor’s International School), and Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Loy Teik Ngan (Group Executive Chairman of Taylor’s Education Group), and Mr. BK Gan (Taylor’s School President). Together with parent representatives from Primary and Secondary and the student councils, the audience was captivated by a stunning performance by the School’s Performing Arts team, and speeches by the Guests of honour.

This event marks the start of the construction of the new development, which includes a 50m swimming pool, FIFA youth sized astroturf pitch, two basketball courts, a performing arts suite of rooms, a new cafeteria and a much larger underground car park. These facilities will elevate the experiences of TISKL students to another level.

Congratulations to Year 11, who have just finished their mock or trial exams. This is a very important practice for the real IGCSE exams which start in October. I hope that they have learnt from this experience and can now fine tune their revision practices and also the questions they might have for their teachers. We wish them all the best with their exams and remind them that the more they practise, the better they will do in the final papers. Not long now, less than ten school weeks!

As we approach the end of another very busy term in school, I would like to thank all the students for a great term filled with events, trips, exams, and lessons. Now is time for a good rest during the end of term holidays and I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed when we return to school on Monday, 18th August.

Stay safe.
