29 JULY 2019 - MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
This week, we finish term 2, and what a busy term it has been!

It is great to be a part of a vibrant and busy school but at the same time it is good for everyone to have the chance to slow down and recharge their batteries. I would like to wish everyone a peaceful and safe break, and for those students leaving the school, I wish you all the best at your new school. I look forward to seeing all returning students on Monday 26th August 2019.

These last few weeks of term 2 have been very busy and successful, we have had numerous IPC Exit points in Primary. These are great opportunities for parents to see what their children have been learning. Photographs of these events have been published by the year groups and also on the social media feeds.

Let us not forget a wonderful performance of "Robin Hood" by all of the Primary school. What a superb show it was. Congratulations to everyone involved in the show and I know that Primary have been publishing photographs and videos for all to see.

Last weekend was the annual TISKL MUN conference which had schools and colleges from around KL participating. The students from school were outstanding in their participation and organisation. For those who don't know, MUN stands for Model United Nations and it is a superb forum for students to be able to immerse themselves in world topics and events using the structure and procedures of the UN. It is a great experience for all who take part. Many thanks to the students and staff involved in this very successful event.

Secondary had their sports carnival last Friday, where students were able to represent their houses in various sports and CCA activities to gain points for the house competition. More details of this can be found in the secondary and sports sections of this newsletter. This multi-sport event has been used this year, as we were not able to source a track for the more traditional athletics sports day. It seems that all the tracks in the city are being renovated and are not available for use.

We also had two celebration events for school sports. The Primary and Secondary events highlighted two brilliant aspects of sport at the school, first and most importantly, just how many students have taken part, and how successful we have been in the inter-school sports in 2018/2019.

Congratulations to everyone concerned and to the PE team for organising these events.

This is a quick snapshot of the last few weeks, and phew, it is no wonder that we all need a good break!

See you in August.
