29 JULY 2019 - MESSAGE FROM THE SPORTS DIRECTOR
Sports Awards (Primary & Secondary)
Friday 5th July saw over 200 Primary students attend the annual Sports Awards. This was a chance to celebrate all the successes of the past 12 months and reward the students who have excelled.

We have seen a 2% rise in attendance to 223 students which excites the PE staff just as much as winning trophies. There are certain age groups we need to focus on which we will be doing through PE lessons and CCA.

Although slightly down on numbers this year (2017/18 was above our expectations) having just over 300 students represent the school is a very impressive number and much is down to the hard work of the staff here at TISKL. This year we again have had more sports teams playing sport than any other KLISS or KLSL School and each sport has had a minimum of two teams and that is something we are very proud of.

We are also very proud of all our winners who have represented the teams throughout the past 12 months.

Victor Ludorum Winner for Sporting Excellence throughout their time in Secondary:

Kuhanraj Nagarajoo (other nominees: Keenan, Chee Syuen and Madhav)

Victrix Ludorum Winner for Sporting Excellence throughout their time in Secondary: Chloe Goy (other nominees: Sophie, Ai XIn, Yuiq and Cerelia)

Year 10 Sports Girl: Winner - Natalie, other nominees - Leena, Hayley, Sarah Ann and Jing Wen

Year 9 Sports Boy: Winner - Sean, other nominees - Eldrick, Elvis, Seunggoo and Yue Hang

Year 9 Sports Girl: Winner - Erina, other nominees - Reshika, Yong Tong, Yuen Jin and Gladys

AIMS information
After two years of planning, the two main International School Sports Committees (KLISS and ISAC) have voted to amalgamate under the AIMS (The Association of International Malaysian Schools) banner.

This will see the 17 Schools; ISKL, Alice Smith, HELP, IGB, ISP, BSKL, Sunway, MKIS, elc, SJIIM, Nexus, AISM, Tenby, Garden, KTJ, Taylor's Puchong and ourselves work more closely and compete on a more regular basis. This year won’t see much change but from August 2020 the 17 will split into two Divisions based on ability.

Team Thunder will also still be a part of KLSL which will see us playing against a range of other schools such as Sri KDU, MIGS, APIS, Beaconhouse and many of the AIMS Schools. Exciting times ahead!
Fixture List
Below is the link to the 2019/20 Fixture List. This does not as yet include any KLSL or MSS fixtures which will be added once they are known.

The fixture list is updated daily so you can follow the fortunes of all the Taylor’s Thunder teams.

O15 Boys and Girls Football
What a way to start the 2019 / 20 season! Two comprehensive victories for both the boys and girls teams over at TISP. The boys racked up 6 goals in the first 20 minutes before Puchong came back into the game. 3 more goals in each of the next thirds gave Team Thunder a 12-0 win. Goals coming from Chee Syuen 4, Timmy 3, Keenan 2, Kuhan 2 and Madhav. The defenders (Ryan, Zafran and Leon) and GK (Sang Woo) where in full control and although Puchong had 1 or 2 chances, the Taylor’s boys were always in full control.

On the next pitch, the girls also found their goal scoring touch. 2018/19 was a frustrating time in front of goal but they more than made up for this by hitting 9 in a comfortable 9-0 triumph. Both teams will be looking to bring home a trophy or two this season if they continue this form.
