Dear Parents,
Welcome to this week’s newsletter. I have taken the step to put this also on Engage as well as our website to try and achieve maximum circulation in view of the current situation. This is to further update you as to what we are doing with regards to the Covid-19 situation.
Our main priority is to maintain our school as a safe haven for our students, parents and staff. We are continuing all procedures as per below robustly and we are continuously monitoring the situation.
- All visitors are screened with their temperature taken upon their entry to the school compound. They must also declare their recent travel arrangements.
- We are not accepting walk-ins from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. Visits now have to be prearranged.
- The temperature of students is being taken regularly, and in most cases on a daily basis.
- Deep cleaning is occurring every day with hospital grade disinfectant.
- Furthermore, trial classes have been cancelled for visiting children and excursions and trips postponed and in some cases cancelled. All students have been told and reminded about hand washing and the importance of good hygiene in their lessons. However, it would also be helpful if you could remind and teach your children simple steps like regular hand washing, taking regular temperature checks at home, not touching our faces and to cover our mouths when coughing as all this will have a bearing on cutting down the span of the virus.
On another note the Parent, Teacher and Friends group would like to hear from you and there is now a PTF email. As you know the PTF has been formed so that we become a closer tight knit community and servers as a forum to discuss how to best continue the development and growth of TIS Puchong. So, if you would like to contribute in any way, shape or form please contact the PTF at ptf@pc.parent.tis.edu.my. I urge you to be in touch.
Thank you.
Kind regards
Stefano Piumatti
Principal of Taylor’s International School Puchong
