This week has been focussed on our Volleyball teams, with our girls under 15 team winning the KLISS cup championship and our boys under 13 team becoming plate champions.

On Thursday afternoon our Volleyball under 15 girls hosted the KLISS cup finals. We won the first game 2-0 against HELP International School and then played against Tenby International School. It was a tough match, going 1-0 down and then bringing it back to 1-1 and taking it to a deciding set. It went to deuce and could have gone either way but these girls are full of determination and grit, and got themselves over the line winning 2-1! We then beat Nexus International School 2-0 to set up a final against ISP. The first set was tough but the girls battled through to take a 1-0 lead. After this they dominated the final, running out comfortable 2-0 winners and winning the championship! We are very proud of these girls. A lot of them were part of the under 18 team who won our first ever volleyball trophy 4 weeks ago. They still have their KL Sports League cup finals to go, which gives them an opportunity to show their dominance in the whole International school circuit in Kuala Lumpur.

Our under 13 boys were also in action in the plate finals at ISP. They were fantastic and won all their games, bringing the plate trophy home with them! A just reward for their hard work with Mr Zul during training. They should all be proud of themselves for the dedication they have shown and achievements they've made.

Last week Mr Jason and Mr Zul took our Badminton under 9 and 11 teams to IGB International school for their annual KLISS tournament. We played excellently and all their hard work once again in training paid off. Our under 9 team took home 3rd place whilst the under 11's finished in 4th place. This is the first year we have ever entered teams this young for Badminton so to finish in these high positions out of 9 schools shows just how talented our young students are and how dedicated the coaches have been to them.

We have also held Football trials for under 13 and under 15 boys this week which went excellently. More trials will be held after the break so please keep an eye out for posters on our Instagram and on the PE office wall.

As well as the sports teams dominating this week, 19 of our year 10 students took part in their practise adventurous journey for Duke of Edinburgh. This included learning how to cook in the jungle, how to create a shelter and how to make a fire. This is all in preparation for their real journey on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June. Mr Jason and Ms Haliza will be accompanying them on this and we are very excited for it to take place.
