- Celebrating 10 Years and a Term Full of Achievements
As we approach the end of our second term, this month’s newsletter is packed with events, highlighting a major milestone in TISPC’s journey, along with capturing the energy, achievement, and spirit of our school community!
Celebrating a Decade of Excellence at TIS Puchong
On 20th June, the school celebrated a major milestone—its 10th anniversary—with a heartwarming event that brought together students, teachers, staff, alumni, and parents. The day was filled with memorable moments, including a time capsule launch, vibrant student performances, and heartfelt greetings from alumni across the globe. Their messages honoured the lasting bond they share with the school and the legacy they continue to shape worldwide. It was a meaningful tribute to a decade of excellence, growth, and cherished memories.
Welcoming Our New Head of Secondary – Ryan Peet
We’re also excited to welcome Ryan Peet, who will officially join us as Head of Secondary in Term 3. He brings a wealth of international leadership experience from the UK and Asia, having served as Co-Principal of the Puxi campuses at YCIS Shanghai and held senior roles at YCIS Hong Kong and Outwood Grange Academies Trust in the UK.
Our sincere thanks go to Mr. Gary, whose steady leadership as Acting Head over the past two terms has been deeply appreciated.
Year 6 Residential Camp: Learning Beyond the Classroom
Our Year 6 students enjoyed a memorable residential camp at Paradise Valley, where they took on outdoor challenges like kayaking, abseiling, and hiking. The experience helped them build confidence, resilience, and leadership beyond the classroom.
2025 Book Week Celebrations
Book Week 2025 transformed the school into a literary wonderland, with storytelling sessions, creative displays, a book fair, and a visit from author and illustrator Erica Eng. The week ended on a high with a lively assembly filled with costumes, performances, and fun competitions.
Sports Days
This year’s Sports Days in July (EY-8th, KS1-16th, KS2-14th, Secondary- 15th) were filled with excitement, teamwork, and school pride across all key stages. Early Years impressed us with their superhero-themed adventure, Primary students brought energy to a day of diverse sporting events and house spirit, and Secondary students wrapped things up with competitive games and a dramatic tug-of-war finale. A huge thank you goes out to our PE team, staff, and parent supporters for making the event run so smoothly—and most of all, well done to our students for their outstanding effort, attitude, and sportsmanship.
TISPC Model United Nations Conference 2025: Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges!
From 4th to 6th July, our student-led Model United Nations conference welcomed participants from across the region for three days of debate, collaboration, and global-minded learning. TISPCMUNC 2025 stood as a testament to the power of youth leadership, and its legacy will continue to inspire students to speak up, engage, and lead with purpose.
Big Wins in Academic Competitions
Academically, our students shone in a variety of competitions. Years 2 to 6 took part in the Times Tables Rock Stars challenge, with Year 5 emerging as overall champions. Year 5 and 6 students joined the Score A Student Olympiad workshop, exploring creative learning strategies.
In mathematics, our students earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in both the UKMT Junior Challenge and the Kuala Lumpur Junior Mathematics Competition, where the Matrix Masters team proudly brought home a Bronze Medal. In the sciences, students achieved remarkable results in the British Physics Olympiad and the UK Biology Challenge, competing among thousands worldwide and earning dozens of awards—an inspiring reflection of their curiosity and critical thinking skills.
Safety & Wellbeing First
Finally, 30 staff members completed a two-day First Aid and CPR course, further strengthening our commitment to student safety and well-being.
As this is our final newsletter of the term, we wish all families a happy, restful break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, 18th August!
